CQI Mode

 

CCA can be installed as a standalone Coding Quality Tool.

 

CCA(CQI) is loaded with the original coded separations from the HIS. This is performed by a simple import that can be completed on a need-to-do basis and does not require any detailed interfacing with the HIS.

 

You do not need to run any pre/post data inversions or maniplulation.

 

Once the import is completed, simply filter the separations to include in the CQI Assessment procedure and click the Start button.

 

The processed Separations are clearly indicated in the All Episodes list and those separations with resultant edits can be easily viewed and/or reported.

 

 

The CCA(CQI) features include:

 

• PICQ Format Import (supplied)
  • there is minimal work required to change over.
• Email CQI Reports to Coders
  • this feature can be configured to one email per coder, one email per episode, or one email per day.
• Local install does NOT require private data transfer to a cloud server.
  • The is no need to go through the exhaustive process of granting permissions to send private data to a Cloud server
• Licensing is per hospital NOT per separation.

• CQIs assessed provide where possible the PICQ/External Identifier.
  • This allows you to link any data reporting or manipulation tools to output from CCA(CQI) using the external identifier field
• Imported episodes are stored and immediately available for CCA Auditing.
  • CCA(AUDIT) must be enabled for this feature.

CCA(CQI) restrictions include:

• 9th Edition ICD-10-AM and ACHI only
• Not interfaced but manual processing can be configured for immediate assessment after coding is completed.
• License is required for Support and Maintenance Agreement.

Example:

If your hopsital has 300 beds with 55,000 separations per annum, your annual PICQ "Per separation" license fee (at say $0.22 per separation) would be $12,012. With CCA(CQI), your annual Support and Maintenance fee is $880. That is a SAVING of $11,132 per year.

Trial Site Requirements

• Limit of 10 sites only.
• <100 Acute Beds
• Priority for enhancement requests both General and Site specific.
• Ability to allocate up to one hour per month for trialing pre-release versions and updates.
• Paid license at 75% of normal fee.
• Confidentiality Agreement required.
